Since you work from home, it can be easy to only schedule appointments that fit your daily routine. Meaning that you don’t have to cut hair all day as a regular salon might expect from an employee, and, there’s no commute.
There seem to be many apps popping up that pay you to do simple tasks like taking a picture of a menu, or taking a picture of yourself drinking a Starbucks, or verifying that a road is closed — you get the picture. Here are a few that I found:
Vindale Research – Vindale Research asks for information about you that they can match you with fitting surveys. At up to $50 a pop for some surveys, and a free $2 just for signing up, it pays to check in daily to see which ones are available to you. Cashouts are through PayPal.
If you’re big enough, chances are brands will find you. But you can also look for brands to work with that are on a similar level in terms of personality and values, so your audience won’t feel like you’re “selling out”.

If that seems too hard, check out sites like AirBnB, which help you rent safely and ensure you get paid. I used this service when traveling in Switzerland with a friend and can confirm it is a great service.
Take it a step further with our Shopping on Instagram integration to enable product tags that make the experience from Instagram posts to your own products more seamless and fluid. To use it, you’ll also need to switch to an Instagram business account, have a Facebook page, and an approved Facebook shop (all of which you can set up for no additional cost).
You’ve probably heard stories of Instagrammers who are cashing in on the pictures they snap and share every day. You might’ve even looked at your own sizeable following and thought, “Maybe I can do that too”.
We sometimes use affiliated links which may result in a payment following a visitor taking action (such as a purchase or registration) on an external website. This helps keep Save the Student free. The user experience shouldn’t be any different, and our editorial decision making is not effected by such links.
You don’t have to do this but we would recommend setting up a separate email for all of your survey site accounts. That way you can log in each day and easily see the surveys on offer (without it clogging up your personal inbox).

My 10-year-old son brought home a book from our park’s free library box. It was a biology textbook – teachers edition. He said it looked interesting and hey, it was free (having no idea you could sell it). I scanned it in my Amazon seller app and realized it was worth around $150. He was so excited. We listed it for sale for $130 and it sold! Going to tell him, he just made $130!
Home-based childcare can be an effective way to pay your monthly mortgage payment, and, if you stay-at-home with children of your own, it can be a good way of getting paid to stay at home. Plus, your own children will have the opportunity to meet new playmates. Before starting a home-based daycare, make sure you check with your local and state laws to see if you need to obtain any licenses or permits to operate.

Whilst it might not seem like much, it can quickly add up and there are plenty of examples of people making a really good living from the site. The key is to get a system in place which minimises the time spent on each gig.
